GRID-TIE TRAINING RIG (PV1SOLAR)

Design Features:

● Strong robust frame constructed from powder coated steel
● Large heavy duty wheels providing mobility within training centres and during outside use – Will negotiate uneven surfaces and steps!
All four wheels can be braked to prevent movement when in stationary
position
● Compact Design enables ease of movement through standard doorways (Minimum Width 1500mm)
● Key components (Inverter, isolation, switches, generation meter, consumer unit etc.) mounted on a recessed back panel to protect against accidental damage whilst being moved. The working components are now mounted on a single raised panel for
ease of use
● Two mounting positions for PV Panel. During storage and
transit it fits snuggly against rear of frame in portrait position,
Dimensions: W x D x H (mm): 800 x 600 x 170

GRID-TIE ASSESSMENT RIG (PVAS1SOLAR)

Sabre Rigs has developed, with the assistance of a Teaching College, an assessment rig which has a number of pre-wired faults in place that can be turned on and off so that students
can identify the problem. Full teaching notes are available. The Grid Tie System Rig is modified to incorporate switches mounted on the reverse side of the control panel behind the consumer unit and AC & DC Isolators. This enables faults to be introduced by the assessor for identification by students. This assessment rig enables the following simulated faults to be easily introduced:
● No incoming AC (Switch operated)
● No output from panel (Switch operated)
● No output from inverter (Switch operated)
● Meter not working but power produced (Switch operated)
● Loss of full collection capacity – This can easily be simulated by the assessor placing a clip board over part of the PV panel during the assessment to produce the required shading
effect

OFF-GRID RIG (1-BATTERY) (PV0GSOLAR1)

OFF-GRID RIG (2-BATTERY) (PV0GSOLAR2)

Two variations of the same basic concept: components are mounted on an open frame, similar our Solar PV ‘Grid Tie’ Rigs. A 135W solar panel is fixed to the sloping top of a 4-wheel frame which provides greater stability. The bottom tray supports a single battery or two batteries connected in parallel – these are clamped into position. The voltage regulator and battery inverter are mounted on a recessed panel at the side of the rig.

SOLAR PV SCHEMATIC DISPLAY BOARD (SPV1SOLAR)

High quality washable Foamex boards for use as a training aid Measurements L x W x D (mm): 810 x 550 x 5 (A1)

SOLAR PV SCHEMATIC DISPLAY BOARD (SPV1SOLAR)

This pressurised sealed system rig is designed to simulate a full scale solar loop installation. A mobile powder-coated steel frame houses all the key components* including:

● Solar collector ● Storage cylinder with heat exchanger
● Twin-line Pump Station c/w Air separator
● Controller and sensors
● Expansion vessel
● Isolation valve
● Automatic air vent
● Solar discharge container

A Solar Thermal Flat Plate collector on a Stainless steel frame. flexi-pipes provide flow and return connections between solar collector and pump station, whilst standard copper pipe work and pressure fittings are used to link components within the remainder of the sealed system.
